Program: Educational Exhibition
Location: USA, Los Angeles
Parallel Studio has attended and completed Making and Meaning summer program in Los Angeles instructed by the Southern California Institute of Architecture SCIArc. At Parallel Studio we understand that Architecture is constantly evolving with new technologies emerging and therefore we make it our mission to constantly learn new softwares and techniques.
Techniques and process such as 3d model the posture, section cuts and paper folding led to the final outcome which is a visual trajectories, Solid-Void white model with texture mapping, The aim of the texture mapping placement is to challenge the notion of spatial depth through design, by carefully articulating the relationship between surfaces. Central to this investigation, is the study of the ‘edge’ or line separating one surface from another. The interactions between color fields should trigger conditions of edge legibility or illegibility, contrast or diffusion, concave or convex ambiguity.
Solid-Void white model sent to a 6-Axis robotic arm to experiment with dynamic point of views. The light setting was controlled by an App using (Philips Hue).
